The Doctoral School of Population Studies and the History of Minorities (https://studiipopulatie.hiphi.ubbcluj.ro/) is organized at the Center for Population Studies, within the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Babeş-Bolyai University, out of desire to strengthen and develop, based on modern research methodologies, the range of research on the population.
In Romania, there is currently no other doctoral school dedicated exclusively to population studies.
The doctoral theses that focused on this topic are concentrated, with priority, on addressing a certain perspective – historical, sociological, demographic, economical or regarding the geography of population, without deepening multidisciplinary research to meet the challenges of current society.
